Hedge & shrub cutting
Shape, thin or hard-reduce laurel, leylandii, box and mixed shrubs. Cut to the right height, cut at the right time, clippings bagged and gone.
Book thisEst. 2026 · [TOWN], [COUNTY]
Hedges shaped. Lawns striped. Overgrown corners brought back to life. One local gardener who shows up when he says he will — with a fixed price agreed before I start, and every scrap of green waste taken away.
Who's gardening today
No crews, no call centre, no surprise invoices. You message me, I turn up, and your garden gets the care it was supposed to have years ago.
I started George Gardening Services because too many good gardens around [TOWN] have slipped into “I'll deal with it next weekend” territory. Hedge that's taken over the path, lawn going patchy and seedy, a patio greening up year by year. Next weekend never comes — so I come instead, and sort the whole lot properly in one go.

What I do
From a weekly tidy to a complete overgrown revival — one gardener, one van, one fixed price. Most jobs booked alone or as a seasonal plan.
Shape, thin or hard-reduce laurel, leylandii, box and mixed shrubs. Cut to the right height, cut at the right time, clippings bagged and gone.
Book thisCrisp stripes, sharp edges, clippings collected. Plus autumn feed, and scarifying and aerating when the lawn's gone compacted rather than tired.
Book thisOvergrown to usable in a day. Old weeds pulled, ivy wrestled back, neglected borders dug over and made a proper start again.
Book thisFortnightly or monthly visits that keep everything ticking over — weeding, pruning, deadheading, tying in — so your garden never falls behind again.
Book thisTwo summers of green film lifted off stone, slabs, driveways and steps in a morning. Re-sanding on request, no harsh chemicals near your borders.
Book thisRenew, treat and paint fence panels, sheds, trellis and pergolas. Weather-proofed before winter — there's a brush on my logo for a reason.
Book thisSomething odder than these? Describe it — I'll tell you straight whether it's me or someone else.
Real jobs, real difference
Same garden, two photos, about six hours apart — this is what “sorted” looks like. More jobs land on my Instagram almost every week.
How it works
Message me through the form, Instagram or a good old phone call. Photos of the problem area help me quote accurately on the first go.
I pop round within a few days, size the job up, and write down a price. That number doesn't move when I turn up — unless you want adding to.
I work, you enjoy the kettle. Waste goes with me, gates get shut, paths get swept. Happy? Pay by bank transfer or cash when it's finished.
Word on the street
Early days, one job at a time — and the way I want every garden treated.
Leylandii from three neighbours' complaints had swallowed our whole back garden. George felled, trimmed and cleared the lot in one day, and you'd never have known he'd been. Quote was exactly what we paid.
We'd given up on our lawn and he gave it back. Edges like a razor, dead grass raked out, and he explained exactly what he'd done and how to keep it going. Now comes every fortnight.
Booked a patio jet wash, ended up with the fence stained and the borders re-edged too. Polite, quick, tidy — and my elderly neighbour got a free hedge trim out of it because “it was on my way”.
Fair questions
Anything else, just ring or message — I'd rather answer now than you wonder.
Yes — the visit and the written quote cost nothing, in almost any weather. If you want me to change things after, same deal: fixed price agreed before I lift a tool.
Based in [TOWN], covering the surrounding villages up to about 15 miles. Not sure if you're in range? The postcode tells me quickly.
Always. Hedges, grass, branches, old rubble bags — it all goes, is recycled locally, and nothing is left in your bins. It's part of the quoted price, never an extra.
Price depends on the job, not on the clock — you get a fixed quote first. Payment by bank transfer or cash on completion, once you're happy with the work. Receipts for every job.
Heavy rain or gales, we move the visit — no fuss, no charge, you'll get a message first thing with the next slot I've got.
Both, genuinely. A single revival before a family event is as welcome as a fortnightly maintenance plan. Some customers start with one clear and keep me on monthly.

Tell me what's going on out there. I'll call or message back, usually the same day, and we'll get a visit in the diary.
